Happy New Year!

It’s New Year’s Eve today and I’d like to thank everyone who has read this blog and joined the conversation over the past two years since its inception.

It has been an eventful two years. We’ve watched as the mobile market has gone from almost nothing to being the new frontier. We have seen battles rage across the floor of Congress concerning possible new royalties.  We have seen the constitutionality of the Copyright Royalty Board challenged. We have watched the nay-sayers say “nay” to radio even as new studies confirm that it is still the number one means of music discovery.

We seen the departure of voices that have permeated our lives, from the retirement of Carl Kassell to the death of radio legend Paul Harvey. We’ve also watched as radio has evolved onto the Internet and from there migrated to the smartphone carrying public.

All in all, for radio it has been quite a 730 days! I cannot wait to see what I have the opportunity to blog about this coming year. What would you like me to blog about?

Happy New Year from Radio 2020 to you and yours!
