Big Boi of Outkast Talks Radio

by

Man, oh man. Advertising Week is much more amazing than I thought it would be, I’ll be writing soon about a lot of the insights I have gained into the industry by talking with the high-end movers and shakers while working on the WADV Radio gig for the RAB.

In the meantime, here is the first of a series of podcasts in which we talked to people about why radio is important. Our engineer, the incredibly talented Emily Gibson, managed to catch up with Big Boi and ask him about what radio means to him. As someone who helped to completely revolutionize hip-hop music as one half of Outkast, his comments bear a lot of weight.

More coming soon. We are ripping the media files down for podcast even now and there is some truly fantastic perspective on radio on its way.

In the meantime, you can check out what Big Boi has to say about the medium here. Go give it a listen.
